I traveled through the southern states of the USA from Washington DC to Virgina, West Virgina, North Carolina, Tennessee. 2200 miles on the road and the burning sun with me. Along the way I captured these mostly abandoned gas stations. Many of them were shut down due to financial reasons because these days people travel on the intersates and not on the small highways anymore. Some of them have been sitting there for a couple of decades and I assume they will sit there until a hurricane or something else tears them down.
